How Evil is Mankind?

Are we really that evil? Have we reach the end? Does evil or good reign in us? These are questions that have entered my mind after watching the state of current events. With all the mass shootings, terroristic threats, child abductions, abortions, and sex trafficking it seems that all this is celebrated by a godless society and the elimination of one terrorist is appalling to those on the left...the fact that these people all support the destruction of American society is quite evident in their reaction and their actions. Have we come to the time where Mashiach stated that the love of many will wax cold (King Jimmy Reference). Why would our love grow cold? Could it be because we don't regard the word of G-D as our ancestors did? Do we not revere The Creator of all things? What would you say is the cause of all of this? How, if we could change it back? Could it be changed back?
